New Jersey Broker Pre-Licensing Courses
To qualify for a New Jersey Real Estate Broker License, the state requires completion of 150 hours of broker education, consisting of the following three courses:
150-Hour Broker Licensing Program
Complete program required by the State of New Jersey
Includes:
• 90-Hour General Broker Course
• 30-Hour Ethics Course
• 30-Hour Office Management Course
Included with each course:
• E-book
• Two school final exam attempts
Individual Broker Courses
Students may also register for the courses individually:
90-Hour General Broker Course
Includes e-book and two school final exam attempts
60-Hour Broker Course
(30-Hour Ethics + 30-Hour Office Management)
Includes e-book and two school final exam attempts
New Jersey Real Estate Broker License Requirements
Prerequisite
To qualify for a New Jersey Broker License, you must:

Be currently licensed as a New Jersey real estate salesperson
-
Have at least 3 years of full-time experience working as a salesperson
Education Requirements (150 Hours Total)
The State of New Jersey requires completion of 150 hours of broker pre-licensing education, which includes:

90-Hour Broker Course
-
30-Hour Agency / Ethics Course
-
30-Hour Office Management Course
All three courses must be completed before applying to take the broker licensing exam.
Final Course Exams

Each course includes a school final exam

A minimum score of 70% is required to pass
Course Completion Certificates
After successfully completing each course,
Adler Toro & Associates School of Real Estate will provide:

An electronic certificate of completion

Instructions on how to apply for approval to take the state exam
Applying for the State Broker Exam
After completing all 150 hours, applicants must submit the following to the New Jersey Real Estate Commission:

School certificates for all three broker courses
-
Experience Report for Broker Applicant
Once approved, the NJREC will issue a Certificate of Examination Eligibility.
This certificate allows you to schedule the state broker licensing exam with PSI.
Time Limit
After completing the broker courses, you must:

Pass the state broker exam
-
Apply for your broker or broker-salesperson license
within one year of completing the education requirements.
Out-of-State Brokers
If you are already licensed as a broker in another state, the 90-hour broker course may be waived. You must contact the New Jersey Real Estate Commission directly to request this waiver.
